Hidden Hills SantaHanuKhana Gymkhana

The last event of the year in Hidden Hills in the SantaHanuKhana - a winter celebration combining Christmas, Hanukkah and Gymkhana. Debbie Kulik organized this event as the Hidden Hills Horsemen's President and it was a huge success and a fun day.

Sophia started off the day on Poe in the leadline class and was the fastest of the leadliners, trotting the entire three-barrel course. Pretty impressive for a 4 year old!

The older kids were really exciting, too. Payton rode our mare, Crimson and ran impressive times, though a little crazy!

Debuting at this show were the twins, Becca and Megan.

This was both girls first gymkhana and they did fantastic! Becca rode Poe and Megan rode Mavica.
Kristin rode Gracie and earned the High Point Championship in Division D.

And they had a great time in the process!!
These girls won every class and are quite the team - this is their 3rd High Point Championship!
Cooper Koch was the star of day and showed in Division B with a clean sweep win and he also earned the High Point Championship of the day.

Not only was Royal fast but he is breathtaking to watch!
Hannah & Kristin were the only ones who participated in the Costume Contest but they were adorable and clearly the winners.
Kristin & Sonata at the end of a great day.

Rider of the Month - Cooper Koch!

You would be very hard-pressed to find a young man that loves his horse, Royal more that Cooper Koch. I have seen him tenderly wipe a scrape with a tissue and he spends so much time talking with Royal, they have grown together and have a beautiful once-in-a-lifetime relationship.

Royal has taught Cooper to ride and from the very first moment they met, it was love-at-first-sight, for sure. Royal can be hot and does not feel his 22 years but he always takes care of Coop and they have shared numerous adventures together.

Recently, they have started showing and Cooper displays incredible sportsmanship and show perseverance and determination. I am so proud of them every time they enter the ring.

I am so thrilled to congratulate Cooper on being Rider-of-the-Month and look forward to watching him and Royal grow together.

"Mare" of the Month - Our Amazing Mini's, Willow & Night Rider

Ok, so I know they are not mares but my mini's deserve to be recognized since they have added so much to our lives since we got them last month. In fact, they have added so much to the neighborhood!
Our kids love them, the dog loves them, I love them and pretty much the whole community has embraced them. They have full run of the property and love to be a part of the herd.

Every day at 3:00 p.m. one of the moms comes with her adorabel 3 year old daughter & baby in the stroller and they take "The Boys" on a walk through the neighborhood. They have been photographed and videos. I must admit, it is pretty endearing to watch.

Next time you are in the area, stop by and visit these sweet and special boys.
