After an incredible breakfast feast at the Hidden Hills Horsemen's Membership Breakfast, the girls and I went to the barn to get the horses and head out to Ahmanson.
Lilian came along for the company and to photograph the event. The girls did a quick tack-up and we started trotting down Long Valley.
Julia rode Dru to give her the experience for the first time and she loved being able to run in the open countryside.
Jordan was back on Snapper to prove she is the fastest girl out there. Snaper was also happy to defend her title.
Catie took Royal out for his first time in Ahmanson and I think he really enjoyed it, especially when he was in the front.
Hannah rode Jade and it was a great choice because I don't think she got tired the entire ride. She was also a star in the water crossings.
We had an amazing time. It was beautiful, clear, green and we had perfect weather. We ran into a few people we knew and there was lots of water for Dakota to cool off in.
Bless the Santa Monica Conservancy for purchasing this great land. We are certainly lucky to have such an incredible spot right in our backyards!
