I first met Princess in 2005 when we went to Kasey Acres to pick up Gracie. It was love at first sight and I asked the owner if she was available. Though told she would never be for sale, I always remembered her.
Fast forward to 2009 and one of the kids found her ad on Dreamhorse. The ad said she was injured and may not be sound but still enjoyed attention and was a happy, well cared for and loved horse. Though we did not have the room, we immediately contacted her owner and made arrangements to come visit her. Her owner, Joann was wonderful, concerned, and we all felt it was meant to be.
One week later, DL Mustang Sally came to live with us and quickly earned the name, Princess. In her previous careers, Princess earned Championships in English Pleasure, Park, Hunter Pleasure, and Dressage. She was a National Top Ten in Halter and is one of the best movers in the barn. She is just 4 points away from her Legion of Merit.
Princess is by the *Bask++ son, Safire++, pictured above. A serendipitous name for us and also easy to see where her beautiful presence and motion come from. DL Mustang Sally has found a home for life!
