"A Day to Remember" in Ashley's Words
Team Wyatt's Run
May 16th was a marathon day - not only was our dear friend, Shannon Farar-Griefer running 100 miles but we were moving our barns, getting ready to ride with her on a 10 mile loop and preparing for the Hidden Hills English Show the very next day! When all was said and done, Ashley wrote about her experiences for her Youth News and I thought I couldn't have said it better myself so here you are....
This month was very exciting and full of many life changes that are going to lead us to many wonderful experiences. We had our annual Wyatt's Run fundraiser with Shannon Griefer and we had the most amazing time. Hannah ,Julia, Brooke & I accompanied Shannon and some of the the runners on a 10 mile run with our Arabians PA Precocious (Coco), MCA Crimson Lace (Crimson), CKM Aloah (Lola), and Bride Rose X (Rosie). We had an amazing time and we were very proud to be able to give a donation towards the fundraiser. We were also very proud of Shannon (also an Arabian horse owner) for running a full 24 hours and 100 miles in Ahmanson Ranch none stop.
How does Grace make moving look so cute & fun?
This month we also decided to finally leave the plum tree (tears and all) and move to our new barn that luckily is right near Spring Valley riding arena and at Nedra's house! It was hot and A LOT of work but, it all paid off to see all of our horses eating happily in there new stalls with fresh shavings. We had most of the girls; Jordan, Hannah, Julia, Emma, Grace, Brooke, and I at the Plum Tree to load up the empty trailer full of all of our belongings. Finally, after all the time spent on the tack room we were finally ready to have the horses come. Overall it was a long and interesting day, but we managed and are extremely proud of our hard work.
Oh, moving is so much work!
(P.S.) I am working on a video montage to commemorate our Plum Tree memories - watch for it!
XOXO ASHLEY
