Our kids were well represented at the Hidden Hills English Horse Show this month. Nine Youth members braved the incredible heat attended the show which included flat and jumping classes.
Our Arabians dominated each division and the girls earned the High Points in all 4 Divisions - Jordan Parr & Ginger Snap earned top honors in the 11 & under group & the jumping division, Ashley Lane & Sonnet (who stood in for an off B.Light) won their age group, Hannah Kulik & Jade won the Crossrail Division and Ashley Lane & Padron's Lil Penny jumped their way into a clean sweep of the Hunter Division.
Poor Julez got heat stroke and had to leave early. Even sweet Persja was feeling the heat so Alexa had to switch to Gracie for her remaining classes.
Grace Feitshans also showed our rescued horse, Valentina and earned first place in their first class ever! What a great mare! I am so proud of both of them. And yes, we taught her how to jump!Another upcoming star is Geffen Goldstein who moved off the leadline division and earned a 2nd & 3rd in the walk/trot classes. Geffen rose Gracie and the two did amazing - loved the posting!
Emma & Dessa and Brooke & Lola also did a fantastic job showing people how well Arabians can jump and rode beautifully. Those bay mares and pasture mates looked great!
We will always remember the HUGE Obedience Class that went on forever and included flying lead changes on the straight away, trotting and reversing without stirrups, several counter canters, and backing a circle! It was a race to finish with Ashley & Hannah and both girls shined all the way to the end!
