This was probably one of my proudest days of the year.
I was a little nervous about the girls taking on this challenge and I'm sure I drove them crazy with drilling them to be safe and careful.
Our girls showed up in usual form with their Sapphire shirts, and colorful polos & saddlepads. All cute and girly but when they rode the Cross Country course, everyone took notice and they gained respect from the other competitors!
We warmed up on the stadium fences and the girls may have been a little nervous as well but once they hit the course, they were all business.
Julez and Coco teamed up with Brooke & Lola since both girls walked the course during the week.
There were 14 fences in all and the course was a little over a mile. The girls flew around the course, were experts on the banks and did a fantastic job! It was so exciting!
For the next round, Ashley rode Snapper and Julez rode Dru, our super jumping pony. Brooke went along as the "guide" to lead the girls. This also made me proud since Brooke used to have course anxiety so it was a huge accomplishment for her.
Brooke also topped off the day by jumping the "Picnic Table" fence! That was really cool, too!
Our girls impressed everyone and had a great time. It was so much fun to cheer them on with Sandee and Sharyn!
